It could be worth trying to get a group buy and work between us to set up a blank database that has the mutations and no birds, we could distribute that unregistered database (I've worked out how to do that bit already ) and then each person could pay and register by whatever means we negotiate. It is very good, and the genetics knowledge of gouldians on here pretty high. If you play long enough you'll soon find the demo limitation is 10 database records, so I simply deleted all the existing ones (quicker than creating a new file, I'm too lazy for that) and now I'm right with six birds and their pairings until the young start to arrive, then I guess I'll need to pay if I haven't found a different solution. It's cheap (if not free), it allows me to add as many characteristics as i want (and adding splits as a characteristic is not hard, creating offspring with that characteristic is limited only to your / world knowledge of a particular mutation inheritance pattern). I have found zoo easy the best of what I was looking for so far.
